This Privacy Policy explains how BusinessUp ("we", "us") handles data in connection with the Product Importer application (the "App") for Shopify. The App helps a merchant import and update their own products and inventory in their Shopify store. By installing or using the App, you agree to this Policy.
To perform the imports and updates you request, the App accesses the following store data through the Shopify Admin API, using only the permissions you granted at installation (read/write products, read/write inventory, read locations):
The App does not request, access, or store your customers' personal data (names, emails, addresses, orders or payment information). It works only with product, inventory and location data.
When you run an import, you may upload or supply product data (for example a CSV file or a data source). This content is processed to create or update products in your store and is used solely for that purpose.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Where applicable, we process data to perform our contract with you (providing the App) and for our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service.
Data is stored on secured servers and databases operated on our behalf. Access tokens are stored solely to authenticate requests to your store and are protected with appropriate technical measures. We share data only with:
We retain the data described above only for as long as the App is installed and needed to provide the service. Uploaded import files are kept only as long as necessary to complete and let you review the import. When you uninstall the App, or upon your request, we delete the store data and access token associated with your store. We honour Shopify's mandatory app data-erasure requests.
Subject to applicable law (including GDPR and KVKK), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data we hold about your store, and you may withdraw consent by uninstalling the App. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
The App is intended for use by businesses and is not directed to children.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
